Ease the Ache, Restore the Movement

A 7-Day Spine & Neck Therapy

A stiff neck, an aching lower back, the slow toll of hours at a desk — discomfort in the spine has a way of narrowing your whole world. Over seven days, this focused therapy brings warmth, oil, and gentle care to the back and neck, helping to ease tension, soothe the nerves, and restore freer, easier movement.

Who Is It For?

This therapy is for those carrying back, neck, or shoulder discomfort. It may suit you if you experience:

  • Persistent lower-back or neck pain and stiffness.
  • The strain of long hours seated, or poor posture at a desk.
  • Age- or activity-related spinal stiffness, or discomfort radiating from the neck or lower back.
  • A wish to ease tension and move more freely, gently and naturally.

In Ayurveda, these are largely understood as Vata-aggravated conditions. Our Ayurveda doctors (Vaidyas) begin with a consultation, and if you have a diagnosed spinal condition, we'll work alongside — not in place of — your medical care.

What You Will Gain

  • Eased Tension: Warm-oil therapies may help relieve stiffness in the back, neck, and shoulders.
  • Freer Movement: Supports lumbar and cervical mobility, so everyday motion feels less restricted.
  • Soothed Nerves & Muscles: Localised warmth may improve circulation and calm muscular congestion.
  • A Calmer Whole: Relief from pain often brings welcome relief from stress, too.

This is supportive, complementary care. We'll always be honest about what a week of focused therapy can offer, and encourage ongoing practices to protect your progress.

Your Treatments

Your therapies are chosen for you by our Vaidyas, focused on the spine and neck:

  • Kati Basti (warm oil on the lower back): warm medicated oil held gently in a herbal-dough dam over the lower back.
  • Greeva Basti (warm oil on the neck): the same soothing pooling of warm oil over the cervical spine.
  • Abhyanga (warm herbal-oil massage): a full-body massage to relax muscles and improve circulation.
  • Pizhichil (a continuous pour of warm oil): a streaming warm-oil therapy that deeply soothes the body.
  • Kizhi (warm herbal poultice): a heated herbal compress applied to ease stiffness and pain.

What Your Days Might Look Like

The days balance focused therapy with rest and gentle movement:

  • Morning: A consultation and pulse check, then gentle stretching or yoga and a nourishing breakfast.
  • Midday: Abhyanga followed by your localised therapy — Kati Basti, Greeva Basti, or Pizhichil — and a herbal steam.
  • Afternoon: Rest, a sattvic lunch, and quiet time to let the body settle.
  • Evening: Gentle relaxation or yoga nidra, an early dinner, and restful sleep.

Across seven days, the steady warmth and care help the spine soften, the tension ease, and movement return with greater comfort.
