A Gentle Return to Calm

A 3-Day Relaxation Therapy

Somewhere between the deadlines and the notifications, the body forgets how to rest. The shoulders stay braced, sleep turns shallow, and the mind keeps running long after the day is done. This is a short, gentle pause — three unhurried days to let the body soften, the breath deepen, and the nervous system remember its natural calm.

Who Is It For?

This therapy is for you if the pace of life has quietly worn you thin. You may recognise yourself in a few of these:

  • You feel persistently tense, wired, or unable to switch off.
  • Sleep comes slowly, or doesn't leave you rested.
  • You carry tightness in the neck, shoulders, or jaw.
  • You're new to Ayurveda and would like a gentle, welcoming first experience.
  • You have only a few days, and want them to genuinely restore you.

No prior experience is needed — only a willingness to slow down. Our Ayurveda doctors (Vaidyas) meet you with a short consultation, so the days are shaped around your constitution (Prakriti) and how you're truly feeling.

What You Will Gain

  • A Calmer Nervous System: Warm-oil therapies and slow breathing help quiet the body's stress response, easing you from "always on" into genuine rest.
  • Deeper Sleep: As the mind settles, many guests find sleep comes more easily and feels more restorative.
  • Released Tension: Rhythmic massage supports circulation and helps loosen the held tightness of long working weeks.
  • A Clearer, Quieter Mind: Guided meditation and unhurried time create space for the mental chatter to soften.
  • A Small Toolkit to Take Home: Simple breath and routine practices you can fold into ordinary days.

Ayurveda works gently and individually; this is a supportive reset rather than a medical cure, and we'll always be honest with you about what a few restful days can and cannot do.

Your Treatments

Your therapies are chosen for you by our Vaidyas, drawn from Kerala's classical relaxation practices. They typically include:

  • Abhyanga (warm herbal-oil massage): A full-body massage with dosha-appropriate oils, worked in with slow, rhythmic strokes to calm the nervous system, support circulation, and release muscular tension.
  • Shirodhara (the flow of oil over the brow): A steady, warm stream of herbal oil poured gently across the forehead — a deeply quieting practice that many find melts mental fatigue and eases the mind toward stillness.
  • Swedana (herbal steam): A warming, fragrant steam that helps the body let go and the oils settle in.
  • Gentle Yoga & Guided Meditation: Slow, accessible movement and breath-work (pranayama) to anchor the calm.
  • A Sattvic Table: Light, nourishing meals that are easy on the system and gentle on the mind.

What Your Days Might Look Like

Nothing here is rushed. A typical day unfolds with room to breathe between each part:

  • Morning: Wake gently, gather for slow yoga and meditation, then a nourishing breakfast.
  • Midday: Your prescribed therapy — Abhyanga, Shirodhara, or steam — followed by rest, and a light, sattvic lunch.
  • Afternoon: Unhurried time to read, walk the gardens, swim, or simply do nothing at all.
  • Evening: A calming practice or quiet reflection, an early dinner, and rest aligned with the body's natural rhythms.

Across three days, the rhythm itself becomes the medicine — a steady, gentle invitation to rest, restore, and breathe again.
