Healing at the Body's Vital Points

A 7–14 Day Marma Therapy

In the Ayurvedic tradition, the marma are the body's vital points — subtle junctions where flesh, breath, and energy meet. Marma Chikitsa works these points with gentle, precise touch to release what is held, calm the nervous system, and restore the quiet flow of vitality. A week or two of deeply restful, attentive care for body and mind.

Who Is It For?

This therapy is for those seeking gentle, energy-balancing care. It may suit you if you experience:

  • Chronic pain, stiffness, or held tension in the body.
  • Stress, anxiety, fatigue, or unsettled sleep.
  • A sense of being depleted, and a wish to restore energy and balance.
  • An interest in a subtle, traditional therapy rather than vigorous bodywork.

Our therapists and Ayurveda doctors (Vaidyas) begin with a consultation, and tailor the length — seven to fourteen days — and the work to your needs. This is gentle, complementary care, offered in the spirit of the tradition.

What You Will Gain

  • Released Tension: Gentle point-work may help relieve pain and the tension the body quietly holds.
  • Deep Relaxation: A calming therapy that supports rest and eases stress.
  • Balanced Energy: In the Ayurvedic view, the work supports the free flow of prana (vital energy) through the body's channels (nadis).
  • A Steadier Mind: By calming Vata, the therapy supports emotional balance and a quieter nervous system.

We frame this as supportive, complementary care in the Ayurvedic tradition rather than a medical cure. Its gifts are gentle and real, and we'll always speak about them honestly.

Your Treatments

Your sessions are guided by skilled therapists, centred on the marma tradition:

  • Marma Chikitsa (vital-point therapy): gentle, precise stimulation and massage of the body's marma — traditionally counted as 107 points, where muscle, bone, nerve, and vessel meet.
  • Medicated Oils: light pressure and massage with warm, dosha-appropriate herbal oils.
  • Abhyanga (warm herbal-oil massage): often woven in to relax the whole body.
  • Shirodhara (the flow of oil over the brow): a deeply calming complement to the point-work.
  • Yoga, Pranayama & a Sattvic Table: gentle supportive practices and nourishing meals throughout.

What Your Days Might Look Like

The days are calm and unhurried, centred on gentle, restorative care:

  • Morning: A consultation or assessment, gentle yoga and breathing, and a nourishing breakfast.
  • Midday: Warm-oil preparation, then your gentle, slow marma point-work, followed by quiet rest.
  • Afternoon: A light, sattvic lunch, meditation, and unhurried time.
  • Evening: Gentle relaxation or pranayama, an early dinner, and restful sleep.

Over a week or two, the gentle attention to the body's vital points invites a deep, quiet release — leaving you calmer, lighter, and more at home in yourself.
