Rest and Renew Your Five Senses

A 14-Day Sensory Cleanse

We ask so much of our senses — eyes fixed on screens, ears filled with noise, breath shallow in busy rooms. Panchendriya Shodana is a gentle fortnight of care for the five sense organs: the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin. Through soothing, traditional therapies, it leaves the senses rested, clear, and quietly renewed.

Who Is It For?

This therapy is for anyone whose senses feel tired and overworked. It may suit you if you notice:

  • Tired, dry, or strained eyes from long hours of screens and reading.
  • A sense of ear or hearing fatigue, or frequent nasal and sinus congestion.
  • A wish to care for oral health and overall sensory wellbeing.
  • A feeling of being overstimulated, and a longing to let the senses rest.

These are gentle, local therapies — care and strengthening for the senses (Panchendriya), distinct from a full internal cleanse. Our Ayurveda doctors (Vaidyas) begin with a consultation and shape the fortnight around what you most need.

What You Will Gain

  • Refreshed Eyes: Soothing therapies may help ease tired, strained eyes and leave them feeling rested.
  • Clearer Breathing: Nasal care may help ease congestion and lighten the head.
  • Cared-For Ears & Mouth: Gentle, traditional practices to support ear comfort and oral hygiene.
  • A Calmer, Quieter Mind: As the senses settle, so too does the nervous system.

We frame this as gentle care and renewal for the senses rather than medical treatment. If you have a specific eye, ear, or sinus condition, we'll encourage you to keep your own doctor in the picture.

Your Treatments

Your therapies are chosen for you by our Vaidyas, drawn from the classical practices for the senses:

  • Netra Tarpana (a soothing bath for the eyes): warm medicated ghee pooled gently over the eyes to refresh and nourish them.
  • Karna Purana (care for the ears): warm herbal oil instilled gently into the ears.
  • Nasya (nasal therapy): medicated drops to clear and lighten the head and sinuses.
  • Gandusha & Kavala (oil holding & gargling): traditional practices to support oral health.
  • Shiroabhyanga & Shirodhara (head therapies): warm-oil head massage and the gentle flow of oil over the brow to calm and support.

What Your Days Might Look Like

The days are calm and unhurried, with each therapy given its own quiet space:

  • Morning: Oral cleansing (Gandusha or Kavala) and a gentle head-and-face massage, then a nourishing breakfast.
  • Midday: Your sense-organ therapies in sequence — Netra Tarpana, Karna Purana, or Nasya — followed by rest.
  • Afternoon: Light, sattvic meals, eye-relaxation practices, and quiet time.
  • Evening: Gentle yoga or meditation, an early dinner, and restful sleep.

Across the fortnight, the senses are met with the rest they rarely receive — and you leave feeling clearer, lighter, and more present.
