Calm the Skin, Soothe the Self

A 14-Day Skin-Care Therapy

Living with psoriasis can be wearying — the itching, the flares, the way stress and skin feed one another. This fortnight offers a calmer path: a gentle, supportive programme that works to soothe the skin, ease the discomfort, and quiet the stress that so often sets a flare in motion. Not a cure, but a kinder season for body and mind.

Who Is It For?

This therapy is for those living with psoriasis or persistent, stress-linked skin discomfort. It may suit you if you experience:

  • Scaling, itching, redness, or plaques on the skin or scalp.
  • Flare-ups that worsen with stress or fatigue.
  • A wish for a gentle, holistic approach to managing your skin over time.
  • The need for calm, rest, and care alongside your ongoing treatment.

We want to be clear and honest: Ayurveda offers supportive management for psoriasis, not a cure. This programme is designed to complement — never replace — the care of your dermatologist. Our Ayurveda doctors (Vaidyas) begin with a consultation to shape the fortnight gently around you.

What You Will Gain

  • Soothed Skin: Therapies that may help ease itching, burning, and the feeling of inflammation.
  • Calmer Flares: A dosha-rebalancing, detoxifying approach traditionally used to help manage flare-ups over time.
  • Lower Stress: Practices like Takradhara calm the mind — and with it, a common trigger for flares.
  • Supportive Habits: A gentle diet and routine you can carry home to support your skin between visits.

Results with the skin are gradual and individual. We promise honesty and deep care, and we'll never overstate what a fortnight can do.

Your Treatments

Your therapies are chosen for you by our Vaidyas, drawn from the classical skin-care tradition:

  • Snehapana (internal oleation): graduated doses of medicated ghee to gently mobilise toxins from within.
  • Virechana (medicated purgation): the classical cleanse for the skin, used to clear excess Pitta and toxins.
  • Takradhara (the flow of medicated buttermilk): a steady, cooling stream over the forehead that calms the skin and the mind.
  • Lepa (herbal paste): soothing medicated pastes applied to affected areas.
  • A Pitta-Pacifying Table: a cooling, supportive diet and herbal preparations throughout.

What Your Days Might Look Like

The fortnight unfolds in gentle phases, with rest and a calming routine throughout:

  • Preparation Days: Internal and external oleation (Snehapana, Abhyanga) to ready the body, with a careful diet.
  • Cleansing Day: The prescribed Virechana, with close care and rest.
  • Recovery & Renewal: Soothing Takradhara and Lepa, a reset diet, and rebuilding rest.
  • Throughout: A strict, Pitta-pacifying diet, herbal medicines, gentle yoga, and stress-easing routines.

Across the fortnight, the aim is simple and sincere: calmer skin, a quieter mind, and a gentler relationship with your body.
